It’s not about the nail!

Sometimes, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and our willingness to listen without judgment or trying to fix things for them.

It's natural to want to jump in and solve problems, but often what people truly need is 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴. The video "It's Not About the Nail" by Jason Headley brilliantly illustrates this point.
